The staff here at "Northern Arts" magazine have put our heads together and come up with an idea that we are excited about. As the premise behind this magazine is to search out and promote the artisans of the Peace region, without limiting ourselves to any particular medium or style, we thought that we would conduct an art competition to show that artistic ability can be manifested at any age.
There will be two main categories: Visual and Written. Visual entries may be anything that can be scanned or photographed, from sketches to sculptures. Written entries will include submissions such as poetry and short stories.
The contest is open to anyone 17 years of age or younger.
Submissions to the contest can be sent via email or regular post.
We know that we will be seeing some very impressive work, and will have a very difficult time choosing our winners. Good luck and have fun with it, as that is what creativity is all about!
